Santas young and old descended on The Embankment in Bedford on Sunday to raise money for Keech Hospice Care.
Around £25,000 was raised for the children’s unit of the charity at the Santa Run which drew more than a few puzzled looks from people out for a Sunday stroll.
Claire Bestall-Phillips, who organised the Santa Run on behalf of Keech, said: “It went really, really well and we had 250 people on the day in the beautiful bright sunshine.
“The money will go to the children’s unit here at Keech, it looks like £25,000 has been raised from this one which will go towards the work we do 365 days a year.”
This year’s winner of the annual run was Jonathan Janes who attends Bedford School.
