A vintage emporium is set to become a ‘one-stop shop’ for brides planning a wedding in the new year.

The shop, in Clair Court, Bedford already stocks a range of dresses ideal for bridesmaids and wedding guests, and offers a dressing up box service to create a fun photo booth at a wedding reception. There is also vintage hair styling in the store from Sarah Dunn at Sarah’s Doo-wop Dos.

But the shop are now working with other local stockists to create a directory to help brides source not only their dress, but accessories, favours, photographers and a whole manner of other vintage-inspired items for the big day.

Shop owner Katrina Allen, said: “ With brides coming to us to dress their bridesmaids, we also realised that we are in contact with many other businesses who also work with couples to help them create their perfect vintage wedding.

“So putting all these people in once place will make it easier for any bride and groom planning a vintage wedding to find someone to add that perfect touch to their special day.”

And hair stylist Sarah Dunn, of Sarah’s Doo-Wop Dos, agreed that vintage weddings are next year’s big thing.

She said: “I’ve already had brides booking their hair for 2013, and once their guests know the bride is going for that glamorous vintage look, they often end up booking in too.”
