Grandparents’ fun
b12-702 Grandparents Day at Castle Lower School nursery, Goldington Rd, Bedford.
GRANDMAS and grandads, some for as far afield as Austria went back to school on Monday.
Castle Lower School nursery children invited their grandparents to school for the morning as part of a special event.
On the day the relatives had the chance to see what the children do at school, as well as learn about their favourite toys and games.
Sue Kumar, nursery manager at the school, said: “It was brilliant and it was such a success.
“Some people had come such a long way to be here, some grandparents even came from Austria and the children had the chance to show them around the school.
“So many grandparents are more involved with their grandchildren nowadays and it’s nice for them to be able to see what they do.”
Castle Lower School caters for children aged between three and nine from its base in Goldington Road, Bedford.
Pupils take part in a number of activities throughout the year.
