Government policing chief joins the campaign trail

Minister Damian Green came to Bedford on Saturday, to lend his support to election hopeful Jas Parmar.

Mr Green, the Conservative minister of state for police and criminal justice, met voters and business owners alongside Mr Parmar.

And the duo also chatted with local Conservative activists.

Mr Parmar said: “Bedford is a place he wanted to visit so that he could lend his support to my campaign.

“He was impressed with Bedford’s diversity, and we are both looking forward to a Conservative victory.”
