1,300 children from schools across Bedford are taking part in an African twinning project.

Students from 10 schools have raised money for the volunteers charity Ashanti Development.

They have also created portfolios of their lives which they will swap with children in Ghana.

The schools involved are Renhold Lower, Cauldwell Lower, Cotton End Lower, Shortstown Lower, St Christopher Reeves Lower, St Joseph’s Lower, Goldington Green Lower, Shackleton Lower, Peter Pan Nursery and Mark Rutherford Upper.
