GCSE RESULTS: Bedford Academy
Bedford Academy students scored a 26 percentage point increase over last year in passes at maths grade A* to C, two thirds of students achieving the grades.
One of the school’s star students was Emma Anderson who achieved seven A* grades and three As.
In front for the boys was Jahangir Khan who achieved six top grades and two C grades.
Headteacher Claire Smith, said: “We set out two years ago to become a school of opportunity putting especial emphasis on Science and related subjects. “Today’s results show we are well on track to achieving this with continuing increases these subjects, however the increase in Maths is of particular pride this year and a credit to our students and teachers.”
