Gang of four assaulted and robbed a man

A man was assaulted and robbed by a gang of four men who left him injured in the centre of Bedford.

The victim was in Silver Street between 1am and 4.10am, Tuesday (May 17) when he was attacked and had his wallet stolen..

Three of the group are described as white and the fourth is described as Asian. All are described as aged between 20 and 25-years-old.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Surinder Ram said: “These four opportunists gave no thought to the condition of their victim. Instead, they took his wallet while he was injured after their assault.”

He added: “It is essential we find out who is responsible for this cold hearted attack, and I would urge anyone with any information to come forward.”
