Exam Results: Wootton Upper School
A 99 per cent pass rate has led to congratulations from Wootton Upper School headteacher Tony Withell to his staff and students.
Overall the pass rate for the school is above 99 per cent and the pass rate at grades A to B for all qualifications is 54 per cent.
Twenty-three students achieved at least three straight A* or A grades and all of those students have qualified to start courses at their first choice universities in the autumn.
Last year six Wootton students started courses at Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard universities.
This year five more students who completed their A levels at Wootton will be going to Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
Headteacher Tony Withell said: “The hard work of these students over the last two-years has led to these outstanding results.
“I would like to congratulate all of them on their successes, wish them every success in higher education and employment and, additionally thank the tremendous dedication and commitment of the staff and governors of the school in supporting them.”
