Did you see the Halloween car theft?

A car was stolen from outside a home in Biddenham on Halloween evening.

The burglary happened between 10.30-11.30pm on Wednesday, October 31, from a home in Fleming Close.

Thieves stole the keys to a white Volkswagen Scirocco with the registration number KR12 RA, which also contained an expensive Mulberry handbag, two coats and other property.

Detective Constable Verity McCann said: “We believed the offenders in this case have targeted this property to take the car and we now need the public’s help to trace it.

“As the dark winter nights are upon us I would like to take this opportunity to remind householders to take extra precautions to ensure their home and belongings remain safe. Making sure your home looks and sounds like it is occupied at all times by leaving lights and a radio on is a quick and simple way to do this. I would also advise people to ensure gates; doors and windows are always locked securely.”

If you have information relating to this incident you can contact Det Con McCann, in confidence, on 01234 275285, Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text your message to 07786 200011.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
