Did you see cash machine attack?
A group of men who attempted to break into a cash machine at Cranfield University are being hunted by police.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning when a dark coloured car pulled up at the back of the Post Office on College Road, Cranfield, and four men got out at about 1.35am.
They broke into the cash machine housing via the rear doors and using some sort of welding or cutting gear tried to get into the cash box itself. The men made off empty-handed, although at least £1000 of damage was caused.
Police are hoping to speak to anyone who drove past around the time of the attempted theft.
Anyone with information can contact the Local Response Policing (A section) via the non-emergency 24-hour number 101.
