Delphi dreams of helping you to sparkle

Waiting for Video...

Delphi Ellis is a counsellor with a difference, and that difference is she wants her clients to sparkle.

The self-proclaimed soul counsellor and dream analyst works out of the i-Kan business centre in Mill Street, Bedford and believes that by listening to your soul you can pick up messages to help with your daily life.

And mother-of-two Delphi, who is one of only three known dream analysts in the country, began analysing dreams around the breakfast table with her parents while she was growing up.

And now she has made it her profession working with members of the public to unlock messages hidden in their nightly adventures.

She said: “I believe that dreams are messages from the soul, they are important messages that we are given to help us gain insight into problems that we are experiencing. The dreams also contain messages to help us take positive action.”

She added: “My clients don’t come to me because they want to talk about their problems, they come to me because they want to transform their lives in some way and bring the magic of their hopes and dreams to life.

“They want to find that part of themselves they can help them take positive action and move forward in a healthy and positive way.”

As well as interpreting dreams, trained counsellor Delphi incorporates healthy stress management solutions into her ‘sparkle consultations’.

Clients are provided with a tool kit to deal with a range of life-changing events including bereavement, redundancy and divorce.

Delphi practices her trade for clients all over the world, and even presents The Guide To Sleep on ITV’s Daybreak programme.

She said: “My focus is helping people reclaim and reveal their “inner sparkle” by listening to their soul and the messages it’s offering. This includes analysing the dreams and nightmares you’re having and recognising important signs you may be experiencing during the day.”

My experience of dream analysis - By Hayley O’Keeffe

As part of writing this feature I visited Delphi to have my own dream analysed.

The dream is from my childhood, when nearly every night between the ages of around seven and 14 I had a dream that I was in a caravan with a hawk circling. I wasn’t afraid, but had always wondered what it meant.

Delphi explained that at around this age I would have been starting to notice more about the world around me and what was going on. She also said that children may start to remember their dreams vividly at this age if there was some kind of transition going on at the time.

I had a think and this struck a chord, because at that time we had two bereavements in our family in fairly quick succession. Perhaps the strange dream was linked to the feelings my family were experiencing?

All in all I found Delphi’s consultation very revelatory, and it helped me understand something that has baffled me for two decades!

Delphi Ellis will be hosting a dreams and sleep workshop in Bedford on March 2.
