Day 4: Nadine in the jungle

Well we had a day off for the football on Wednesday, but last night it was again time to see what Mid Beds MP Nadine Dorries was getting up to on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The evening kicked off with Nadine’s campmate Helen Flanagan taking part in a bushtucker trial which, despite a pep talk from Nadine, saw her crashing out after coming face to face with an confined ostrich.

There was also a treasure hunt task to win some chocolate digestive biscuits, and task which saw campmates competing for world records.

Nadine finally had the opportunity to talk politics with campmates, and presented her take on the media frenzy that has surrounded her appearance on the show.

She claimed that on arrival in Australia she had to escape from one hotel in a laundry lift, and that she expected to get the whip back when she returned to Parliament.

At the end of the show the winners of the public vote to take part in tomorrow’s bushtucker trial were revealed. Nadine was left off the list for the second time with Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan and Eastenders actress Charlie Brooks singled out to do the task.

During the programme T&C reporters Catherine Varney and Hayley O’Keeffe tweeted along with all the latest action. So if you want to know what’s going on, but don’t want to watch the show follow @misshokTC and @CatherineVarney

And Twiter followers also commented on the latest instalment of Nadine in the jungle.

Responding to Nadine not being voted to take part in the trial @AmpthillPeter said: “Prob means people are bored with her and/or think she’s had enough publicity.”

And responding to Nadine’s comments that she would get the whip back when she returns to Parliament, Eve Burt (@BlueLady50), wife of North East Beds MP Alistair Burt, said: “Probably right - once she’s made peace with the chief whip.”
