D-day for Brickhill Tesco plans
BOROUGH chiefs will decide whether to approve licensing plans for a new Tesco in Brickhill on Wednesday.
The council’s licensing sub-committee will discuss the application by Tesco for a premises licence at the site of the former Bird In Hand pub.
Tesco’s plans have sparked outrage against some residents of Brickhill who claim that opening the store will have detrimental effect on independent businesses in the area.
129 representations have been received with relation to the scheme from interested individuals including councillors Charles Royden and Wendy Rider.
