Cats dumped in wheelie bin

A pregnant cat and her four month old kitten were found in a black bag in a wheelie bin in Bedford this week.
Staff at Scott Veterinary Clinic in Goldington Road were shocked when a lady walked in with the animals, that she had found as she put out her bins.
The mother cat, who has been renamed Blossom and her traumatised kitten Cherry are now in the care of Tamsin Eastwood, of the Bedford and Biggleswade Cats Protection League.
She said: “This is the worst one that I’ve had to deal with and I’ve been doing this for years.
“The kitten is traumatised but the mum is still so trusting after everything.”
She added: “The bin men may have found them but then those machines are so noisy. I don’t want to think about what could have happened if that lady hadn’t found them and investigated, we would love her to get in touch.”
And Tamsin said that she hopes the original owner of Blossom and Cherry feels guilty for ditching them.
She said: “Realistically we are never going to find out who did this. But if they see a picture of Blossom and Cherry I hope they feel a bit of shame.”
