Cars slashed in weekend attack

BEDS Police are appealing for witnesses after 11 cars had their tyres slashed at the weekend.

Pc Tom Dobinson is asking for information from people in the Moulten Avenue area of Bedford after a resident called police to say he had seen three teenage girls damaging tyres at around 9.15pm on Saturday.

Despite a wide area search for the girls, officers were unable to track them down and later took calls from other residents in Alamein Avenue and Mareth Road to say their tyres had been damaged as well.

It is believed the girls are aged around 15 or 16.

Anyone with information can call Pc Dobinson on 101
