Car crash victim has died

An elderly driver has died after he was seriously injured following a crash on the A507 near Maulden on Saturday morning.

John Brownhill, 82, of Flitton Hill,. Flitton died on Tuesday after he was involved in the fatal traffic collision on the A507.

The incident happened at around 7.25am when the East of England Ambulance Service was called to the scene.

An ambulance spokesman said: “The crews worked hard to stabilise his condition and he was taken to Bedford South Wing for further care.”

Sadly he died three days later at hospital from multiple injuries. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
