A group campaigning against the loss of children’s services at Bedford Hospital is set to hold a fun day and bike ride on Saturday.
The fundraising event is being organised by the Save Our Riverbank Ward group, who are inviting the community to join them in a Ride For The Riverbank.
The 25-mile-long ride will pass through a number of key Bedfordshire villages including Bromham, Kempston and Wootton and finish on the Embankment. As well as the bike ride there will also be live music, entertainment, stalls and a whole host of activities running in Russell Park all day.
All proceeds will go to the Riverbank Foundation Charity, which helps to support children’s services at Bedford Hospital.
The bike ride starts at 9am and it costs £10 to take part.
