Bridal shop says farewell after 20 years

Team thanks customers

A well-known bridal shop in Dunstable has closed after more than 20 years of trading.

Bless the Bride, based in Ashton Square, has shut up shop due to ill health in the family.

The store, which stocked everything for the big day, has been managed by mum and daughter team Sharon Johnson and her mum Jean Carter.

They took over the business nine years ago.

Five weeks ago, the closure was announced.

The shop stayed open without trading to enable the team to take delivery of all the wedding gowns which brides-to-be had previously purchased.

Speaking about the closure, Sharon said: "I'd like to thank all our customers we have dealt with.

"We have had lots of well-wishers coming in."
