A youngster suffering with autism was left “devastated” after his bike was stolen from his back garden.
Ali Haynes, of Lincroft, Oakley, says her two sons’ bikes were stolen overnight last Tuesday (September 4).
But after she put an appeal on Facebook, she has actually recovered one bike, which was dumped in a field with another unknown bike, which she is now storing.
Ali said: “My eldest son Thomas has autism and he was devastated. He just couldn’t understand how someone could have taken something that belonged to him.
“It was really heartbreaking to see. Both the boys were always out on their bikes, but it really helped Thomas with his autism. He has a couple of friends he always goes biking with.
“Luckily we managed to get his bike, but George is still without his and he is still very upset about it.”
George’s bike is described as a blue and silver mountain bike. Mrs Haynes is appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information.
The other bike that was found is a pink and silver mountain bike with a pink bell. And Mrs Haynes is now looking for its owner.
