The arts and culture fanzine, the Bedford Clanger, has a new look and bigger print run.
The Bedford Clanger launched in 2011 with just 1,000 copies circulated.
Two and a half years on it has evolved into a 40-page publication with a print-run of 25,000.
Erica Roffe, the Clanger’s editor, said: “We wanted to share our love of Bedford with a wider audience, not just people who already visit the town centre, but those who live further afield.”
The new-look Bedford Clanger will be delivered door-to-door to 15,000 Bedford households with next week’s Times & Citizen, so make sure you look out for your copy.
If you are not on the delivery route, you can pick up a copy from the library, Tourist Information Centre, most town centre pubs, cafes and some independent retailers including Maysons and Planet Boutique in The Arcade.
In addition, 8,000 copies will be available throughout Beds, Herts, Bucks and Milton Keynes.
Erica added: “Our aim is to make out-of-towners want to visit, make visitors want to stay and make residents proud to live here.”
The new-look Clanger will be a quarterly publication with day-to-day content being published on the blog (www.thebedfordclanger.wordpress.com) and via twitter (@bedfordclanger) and Facebook.
The Clanger has also joined forces with Bedford’s Big Local App to create a Bedford Clanger Listing app which will feature its definitive what’s on guide.
