A last ditch attempt is being made to ‘recruit’ the unsuspecting owner and an unclaimed Euromillions Millionaire Raffle lottery ticket - worth a whopping £1million.

The winning lottery ticket was bought in Bedford for the one-off raffle draw on July 27, and the winning millionaire only has until Wednesday to claim their prize.

The ‘millionaire’s job’, which is being advertised in a number of recruitment agencies, and in this week’s paper in the recruitment section, suggests how ‘working life’ might be for the lucky ticket-holder if they come forward and claim before the ticket.

This is the National Lottery’s final attempt to locate the missing millionaire before the ticket expires next week.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “There aren’t many jobs advertised with a one-off salary of £1million.

“We are hoping that by ‘recruiting’ for a millionaire we will be able to unite the owner of the unclaimed ticket with their win.

“The excitement of the London 2012 Olympics seems a long time ago but hopefully we can recreate some excitement for a missing Bedford millionaire.”

The EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle ticket took place on the night of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games as a special thank you to people for helping to lottery to help fund the games.
