The lovely folks at Bedford Creative Arts (BCA) will celebrate all the wonderful things that have come through their doors at a special festival this weekend.

Almanac Festival will take place in Bedford on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday fuelled by unique contributions from those who have taken part in BCA projects.

On Friday night artists Arabel Rosillo de Blas and Kathy Hinde will put on a spectacular light show inspired by lace and lace making. Wrap up warm and head to 1 St Paul’s Square from 7pm – there will even be free hot drinks!

The festival weekend also sees the launch of a new work of public art commissioned by Bedford’s Portas Pilot Town Team in partnership with Bedford Creative Arts and there will be lost of special events too.

Saturday kicks of with Café Almanac at The Studio Club on Alexandra Road, and on Saturday night a Made in Bedford film night will be hosted by The Pad nightclub, where you’ll be able to see a unique collection of short films about people making art and being creative in Bedford.

On Sunday the festival closes with a performance of Johnny Parry’s Concerto Magnificent. Bedford Community Choir will perform the piece at St Cuthbert’s Hall at 7.30pm.
