The Cardington Sheds opened its doors to a group of teenagers for a tour of the world’s largest air craft.

The 1985 Flitwick Air Training Corp were the first public group to visit the HAV Airlander 10, housed in Shed 1.

A HAV spokeswoman said it the visit “went really well”, adding: “The group were incredibly curious and asked all sorts of questions. They spent 40 minutes with the programme director, Nick Allman, and he was really impressed with them.”

The group was equally impressed with the airship, which is currently being prepared for its first UK test flight early next year.
