A WEST END star who set up her own theatre school in Bedford is set to appear alongside Johnny Depp in his latest film Dark Shadows.
Dancer Adelle Young, who lives in Grenidge Way, Oakley appears as part of a rock ‘n’ roll dance number in scenes from the comedy vampire flick which is released on May 11.
The scenes were filmed at Pinewood Studios in London.
She said: “Johnny Depp was on set and I was dancing in a musical scene.
“Because of the music actors that were not in the scene Helena Bonham Carter and Michelle Pfeiffer came to watch us filming the performance.
“Tim Burton, who directed the film, was on set being very eccentric and directed us all which was lovely.
“It is certainly not something you get to do every day I’m just a young girl from Bedford!”
Last year Adelle and her actor husband Wyn Moss quit their roles in the West End to set up West End Wendies, a performing arts school run by West End stars for children aged between four and 18 at Bedford College.
The company recently held a successful Easter holiday school where youngsters worked with the cast of Wicked to put together their own version.
Before starting West End Wendies Adelle performed in this smash hit Chicago where she understudied Roxie Hart and was swing and assistant dance captain for five years.
Prior to the role Adelle also performed in We Will Rock You and in the UK tour of the West End classic Cats.
And this is not the first time that Adelle has appeared in a Hollywood film, she can also be spotted in 2011’s Xmen: First Class.
