Center Parcs is set to reveal its 1,500 job opportunities for its fifth holiday village in Mid Beds, for the first time next week.
The holiday retreat company is opening its fifth resort called Center Parcs Woburn Forest, which will be located in Millbrook, next year.
And on Tuesday (September 18) it will be updating members of the public on the project, revealing its plans to employ 1,500 people locally, as well as looking for local suppliers to sign up with.
Center Parcs spokesman Simon Kay said: “We are very conscious that we have not had a real presence down there for a good couple of years for one reason or another.
“We are now very happy that for once we actually have something to tell people. It has been a long time coming, but we now all systems go.
“We‘re really keen to get down and let people how the project is doing and the timescales, and how we are going to do it.
The community exhibition is taking place at the Rufus Centre in Flitwick between 10am and 8pm, and the invitation is open to everyone to see what stage the project is at and meet with representative from Center Parcs, including chief executive Martin Dalby.
Center Parcs has already secured most of the 1,200 jobs for the construction phase, but is now looking ahead to recruiting 1,500 people once the park is open.
There will be jobs ranging from beauticians and hospitality staff to maintenance, and the company hopes to recruit most of these roles locally.
Mr Kay said: “I know there has been a lot of question marks over wether or not we will open, and a big reason for this exhibition is to remind people that we are still here, and we will definitely be opening.”
