Ampthill Library will play host to two special events in the run-up to this year’s Literary Festival.

Award-winning author Anne Zouroudi will talk about her Mysteries of the Greek detective series on Wednesday, July 2 at 7.30pm.

The acclaimed series of novels feature the detective, Hermes Diaktoris, who has been described by critics as one of new fiction’s “most enigmatic individuals”. On Thursday, July 3 at 7pm, local storyteller Mark Steinhardt will share his passion for the art, with the retelling of two ancient stories with a modern twist.

The event is aimed at families with children aged nine and over.

Tickets are available at the library and cost £2.50 for Anne Zouroudi and £1 for Mark Steinhardt. Call 0300 300 8053.
