Party claims 13 out of 36 seats in four-way split
Bedford went to the polls on Thursday and the Liberal Democrats emerged as the largest party.
The party won 13 seats out of a possible 36 on Bedford Borough Council.
The second biggest party were the Conservatives with nine councillors.
Labour and independent candidates scored seven seats each.
This was the first election since the shake-up of local government across the county.
