Jewellery and computer equipment stolen in burglary


Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after jewellery and computer equipment were stolen during a burglary at a house in Aspley Guise on Friday evening (February 21).

The burglary took place sometime between 3pm and 7.20pm when the offenders climbed over a side gate to gain access to the back of the house in Duke Street before smashing a patio door.

Once inside, the offenders searched the property and stole an Apple iPad, a laptop computer and numerous items of jewellery including gold necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings, which they placed in a pillow case before fleeing the house through the back.

Detective Constable Darren Armitage, who is investigating these incidents, is keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the burglary and may have seen anything.
