Inquest opens into the deaths of three people in A421 car crash

An inquest has opened into the deaths of a woman and two teenagers who were killed when their car hit a lorry on the old A421 in Bedfordshire.

Mary-Anne Wykes and Lewis Cook, both 16, from Marston Morteyne, were passengers in a car with 32-year-old driver Genevieve Reason, from Woburn Sands.

The crash that claimed all three lives happened shortly after midnight, on Friday, May 29 near Brogborough.

The inquest was opened at 10am at Ampthill Coroner’s Court. More follows.
