Firefighters were called out to help an injured man on the roof of a block of flats at 8.35am on Friday.

Due to the height of the roof, about 10 metres from the ground, one crew from Dunstable were supported by firefighters trained in rescue from heights.

When they arrived at Steppingley Road, Flitwick they used a scissor lift on site to assist the 25-year-old man, with a suspected fractured ankle, from the roof.

He was then treated by paramedics, with the incident closed at 9.30am.
