HSE is called in after woman is hit by falling hoarding in Bedford’s High Street

The Health and Safety Executive has been called in after a woman was hit by a piece of falling hoarding in Bedford’s High Street.

Paramedics, who were called at around 9.40am yesterday (Tuesday), treated the women, aged in her 60s, for minor injuries and she was taken by ambulance to Bedford Hospital.

Police partially closed the road while the scene was made safe.

A spokesman for the HSE said: “HSE is aware and making initial inquiries.”
