A house in Wootton has been covered in Christmas decorations to help raise money for a local charity close to the owners’ hearts.

Liz and Graham Mayles have decorated their house, in Hall End Road, with everything from reindeers to inflatable snowmen and Santas on the roof, with a special woodland Christmas scene in the garden.

Money raised from the decorative display will be going to St John’s Hospice to help provide patients with incredible care.

Not only is the house and garden almost completely covered in festive lights but there is Christmas music playing in the background too.

Their home is lit up every day and so far the couple have raised £100 and hope to raise much more for their chosen charity.

Liz said: “We have had several friends who have been cared for at St John’s over the years.

“It’s lovely to see the children getting so excited and helping a great cause at the same time.

“My mum had cancer many years ago and for this year’s lights we really wanted to support a local charity and that’s why we chose Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice.”

Anyone who would like to pop by and leave a donation for the hospice is more than welcome, at 54b, Hall End Road, Wootton, MK43 9HP.
