Two horses have been left with ‘stab like’ injuries in Clophill.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at around 2pm on Thursday, May 29 in a field in Little Lane.

Three boys were seen chasing the horses in the field before calling at the owner’s door to say that two of the animals were injured.

When the owner went to the field she found one of the horses with a serious injury to its stomach while a second had minor injuries.

It is not clear how the horses suffered their injuries but PC Keeley Moth, who is investigating the incident, is keen to speak with anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed what happened.

PC Moth would also like to speak with the young boys who were in the field and would urge them to contact her.
