A Magpas team went to the aid of a woman in her forties who suffered a heart attack, leaving her in a critical condition.

The team of Helimedix Doctor Jon Birks and Paramedic Mark Glover arrived at an address in the Wixams/Wilstead area, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW.

They gave emergency aid to the woman who had suffered a severe cardiac arrest, at around 3.45pm yesterday, Monday, February 10.

The Magpas team provided advanced life support, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew. The Helimedix then accompanied the patient in a land ambulance, to Bedford South Wing Hospital monitoring her condition all the way.

On arrival at the hospital the patient was reported to be in a critical condition.

A Magpas spokesman said: “The thoughts of the Magpas team are with the woman’s family at this difficult time.”
