Leigh Kendall began writing Headspace Perspective after her son, Hugo, died in 2014.

Just 24 weeks’ into her pregnancy, Leigh developed the life-threatening complications pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome.

The only cure was for her baby to be born, otherwise mother and child are likely to die. Sadly, Hugo died after just 35 days.

Leigh’s blog and her Hugo’s Legacy campaign to raise awareness of the HELLP syndrome and premature birth, show other women going through similar experiences they are not alone.

Leigh said: “While any plaudits cannot bring back the little boy I love so much, recognition of Hugo’s Legacy means Hugo is having an impact all over the world, and that his life has meaning.”
