Growing a teenage moustache and riding tandems round a park were just some of the ways students supported the Movember campaign.
Pupils from Bedford School paired up to ride round Bedford Park to mark the start of two-weeks of fundraising for the men’s health charity.
School spokeswoman Susie Spyropoulos said the events, organised by the Upper Sixth students, were a good way to promote the Movember message.
She said: “In a school of more than 1,000 males its important to raise awareness about men’s physical and mental health, which are not often talked about.
“They then take that message home to their fathers, uncles, brothers and friends.”
During the rest of November, the school held a series of events including a Super Mario mufti day, sports tournaments, and an auction.
They also held a Harry Potter-style Quidditch match and released a video parody of hit song All About That Bass., which can be viewed on YouTube by searching for “movember bedford 2014”.
So far, the boys have raised more than £2,000 for the Movember charity, which funds men’s health projects, with a focus on supporting men living with prostate or testicular cancer, and mental health issues.
