Gardens open to public

Four private gardens are opening to the public in the Bedford area for The National Gardens Scheme.

The third-acre garden at 192 Kimbolton Road, Bedford, opens on Saturday, June 18, 11am until 4pm. Admission is £3.50, children admitted free. The garden has more than 60 roses and an orchard.

A half-acre garden, Park End Thatch, 58 Park Road, Stevington, opens on Sunday, June 19, noon until 5pm. Set within an old orchard, the garden has sunny borders and winding grass paths shaded by trees. Most of the garden is accessible by wheelchair. Admission £4, children admitted free.

Two gardens open in Barton are The Manor House and Wayside Cottage, on Sunday, June 19, 2pm-5pm. Combined admission £5, children free. Visit www.ngs.org.uk
