Gallery: All dressed up to Race For Life

Bedford was a sea of pink as thousands of runners dressed up for the Race For Life.

The host of pink t-shirted competitors, some sporting tutus, others with pink hats or afro wigs, gathered at Russell Park and The Embankment to take on either a 5k or 10k course.

The 10k runners set off at 9am followed by the shorter distance runners, all with the same aim of raising money for Cancer Research UK.

The event was open to women over 16 and both girls and boys under 16.
