Goldington Academy received a visit from a Government minister today after it was announced it will get a share of £6 billion to improve school buildings across the country.
Sam Gyimah MP met with teachers and toured classrooms to get a feel for how the academy will spend the money, made available under the Priority School Building Programme.
The scheme aims to improve the standards of school buildings across the nation, with the funding running to 2018.
Goldington Academy principle Francis Galbraith said: “This is fantastic news. This will allow us to build on the success of this school and continue to make a difference to the lives of our pupils and our community.”
