Sunday saw the return of The Castle Quarter Summer Fest and once again Castle Road was filled with stalls, food, music and fun, drawing more than 1,800 visiters from near and far.
In the biggest festival yet, a section of Castle Road was packed with stalls, a stage and a free bouncy castle, while The Ent Shed was played host to Carrie’s Vintage Fair.
Set outside The Gordon Arms was the live music stage featuring local acts, The Brass Knuckles, Two Non-Blondes, 2’s Company and, closing the show, The All New Blues and Soul Revue. On the stage were free shows from top comedy actsMike Belgrave, El Baldiniho and Paul Revill of Castle Comedy for Kids.
And a packed audience watched as Hemlock Morris danced through the street.
Organiser Karen Fryc, of Get Into Bedford Ltd, said: “It was a fantastic day with so much going on. People were dancing in the street. It’s just great that the festival has reached its fourth year and is becoming a real fixture in the Bedford events calendar.”
