Shoppers at Sainsbury’s Fairfield Park were serenaded by Wootton Academy and Kimberley College VI Form choir in aid of Autism Bedfordshire, the supermarket’s charity partner of the year.
A fun-filled calendar of fundraising events included flower wrapping on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, a competition to win a trolley full of goodies and a staff quiz.
A total of £4,799.46 was raised which will go towards supporting children and adults with autistic spectrum conditions.
Sainsbury’s manager Nick Rusher said: “Our partnership has helped raise awareness of autism among staff and customers.

“We really do aspire to provide an inclusive and stress-free shopping environment for everyone.”
