Patients at Bedford Hospital can watch television for free over the festive period.

Bedside sets are provided at South Wing by the private firm Hospicom. The company has arranged to switch on every patient’s bedside television so that viewing is free across the full range of channels funtil January 2.

Spokesman Nina Fraser said: “Many patients will miss out on celebrating Christmas and New Year with friends and family, which is why we have worked with Hospicom to provide patients with free TV viewing in the Christmas period.”
