Two Rolex watches were stolen during a house burglary.

Crooks struck at the home in Chawston on Monday, June 8, searching the property before making off with a hoard of gold jewellery.

Among the items taken from Chawston Lane were a men’s 1960 to 1965 gold Rolex with a gold bracelet-style strap, white face, and clip fastener, and a women’s gold and silver Rolex with a chain-style bracelet.

PCSO Paul Jones said: “These watches are not only worth a lot of money, but are also of great sentimental value to the victims. They are understandably distraught and are desperate to be reunited with the items.

“Anyone who has recently seen watches matching these descriptions or has been offered them for sale is asked to contact police, as they will be helping us investigate who committed this callous act.”
