Following last month’s sell out, Jazz at The Ent Shed returns on Thursday, September 4 with The Emily Dankworth Trio.
Given her musical background - Grand-daughter of Cleo Laine and John Dankworth, and daughter of Alec Dankworth - it is no surprise that Emily has her forte in music. The Emily Dankworth Trio features some of England’s most inspirational and talented musicians, all graduates from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The trio has an internationally influenced sound, featuring music from Brazil and Spain, also giving their take on more well-known jazz standards. Supporting Emily is locally born sax player Jessica Bullen with her quintet. Currently studying in Wales at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, she is already a well rounded, in demand musician.
