Rushmoor School in Bedford has been recognised for its excellent provision in teaching and learning, together with financial innovation in the first Independent Schools Association Awards.
Principal Ian Daniel, said: “We are one of the smaller schools in Bedford, but we have a big reputation within the community for providing our pupils with a wonderful school in which they can progress and feel genuinely cared for.
“Being recognised at a national level for the excellent learning environment and service we provide is wonderful and testament to the hard work of our dedicated staff and govenors.
“This has been an incredible year so far for Rushmoor which started with our new partnership with St Andrew’s School in Bedford.
“We have also had an inspection where we received extremely high praise and now these awards demonstrate the school’s excellent ethos and achievements.”
Mr Daniel was presented with the awards by TV’s Countryfile presenter, Juliet Morris, at a ceremony and dinner on Thursday, May 15 at the association’s annual conference held in Warwickshire.
Rushmoor is an independent school and a charity set up by parents with all resources ploughed back into improving and enhancing the school, keeping fees affordable.
