Pupils at a Bedford school have helped create a New Year card which is being sent out to their local community.
Children at Great Denham Primary School took part in a competition to design the card, which will be sent to residents at Westford Village, a new community being developed by housebuilders Barratt and David Wilson Homes, between Bedford and Milton Keynes.
The winner received printed versions of their card to send out at New Year.
The competition was won by Millie Boyce, 9, whose picture of a family looking up at fireworks impressed the judges the most.
Runner-up prizes were awarded to Natasha Aitchison, 10, and Jack Burgess, 7.
Denise Burgess, head teacher of Great Denham Primary School said: “We were happy to work with Barratt and David Wilson Homes and ask our children to design a New Year card.
“We had some great designs and all our children did really well.”
The New Year cards will be sent to residents at all of the Barratt and David Wilson Homes developments which are part of Westford Village.
