GCSE RESULTS: Hastingsbury Business and Enterprise College
44 per cent of students gained five or more A* to C GCSEs including English and Mathematics with 74 per cent achieving five or more GCSE’s at A* to C.
62 per cent of students made three or more levels of progress between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4 in English and Mathematics.
Special mention goes to Esha Alexis who gained 7A*, one A at GCSE with two distinction* and 4 distinctions at BTEC, and Rachel Botrugno who gained four As*, three As, three Bs at GCSE with two distinction* and two distinctions at BTEC.
Headteacher Mr Martin Fletcher said: “We are really pleased with the outstanding levels of attainment of many of our students the vast majority of whom are returning to the Sixth Form.
“We are especially proud of the achievement students have made in maths, science, business and information technology which reflect the college’s specialist status.”
He added: “The college are making a large number of appeals with regards to English language results where the examination board appear to have arbitrarily raised the grade thresholds.”
