A Bedford nursery school is celebrating being awarded an outstanding rating for their daycare during an Ofsted report.
Southway Nursery School, Ampthill Road, Bedford received the notable achievement from government inspectors following a visit.
The report stated: “All children, expecially those who are very young, develop exceptionally strong ties to the staff who care for them.
“This is because of the genuine, nurturing and affectionate attention which staff give them. The staff at the nursery develop extremely strong relationships with children and their families. Staff who care for babies display a highly sensitive and nurturing approach for caring for young children.
“Children display exceptionally high levels of self-esteem and confidence and have the emotional readiness they need for succesful learning.”
Southway, part of the Peter Pan & Southway Nursery Schools’ Federation offers high quality education and care to children from six weeks to five years.
Executive headteacher Isabel Davis said: ”I am so pleased and so proud of all the team who worked so hard for this amazing acheivement.
“Staff are very pleased at what the report said about them.
“We also had lovely comments from parents saying we welcomed and supported them, never judging them.”
