A night of dancing has raised £13,000 for the Urology Foundation.

Pauline D’Errico organised a fundraising ball after her brother was diagnosed with bladder cancer last year.

Pauline - a breast cancer survivor herself and the owner of Franco’s Ices - said: “I saw on the TV that the field of urology was really underfunded and did not receive anywhere near the amount of money of other cancers and it was at that moment when I thought yes, that’s who we’ll do the fundraising ball for.”

The fundraiser was held at the Bedford Corn Exchange last month. Nearly 400 people were at the four-course dinner and dance and there was an Elvis tribute act.

In 2013, Pauline hosted another fundraising ball, which raised £12,500 for Breast Cancer Campaign.
