Cyclist injured in smash

A cyclist was taken to hospital following a collision with a car on Saturday.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) was called to Ampthill Road in Houghton Conquest at around noon.

Ambulance crews from Elms Farm, Kempston, The East Anglian Air Ambulance and Magpas attended the scene.

EEAST spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “A man who we believe to be in his 30s was treated at the roadside by land and air ambulance crews before he was taken to Bedford South Wing Hospital for further care.”
